Abyss vs. The Performer

Maxine entered the arena, dressed as The Performer - no one hurt her theatre like that. But no one.

Ian wandered in, cloaked in black as usual.
He smirked.
"Hello there."

"Ready to pay for what you've done?" The Performer asked, and without waiting for an answer, she leapt forwards, aiming straight for Abyss' stomach.

The member 'Maxine Blackman' has done the following action : Attack!

#1 'Kick!' :

#2 'Punch!' :

Abyss involuntarily let slip a yelp...well two...as the kicks slammed into him.
Recovering some breath, he blocked the last attack.
Hissing slightly he lashed out with his fist, knee and foot.
He raised the darkness, shrouding himself in it.

The member 'Eupa!' has done the following action : Attack!

#1 'Punch!' :

The Performer stumbled backwards at the ferocity of the hits, and bent over double as the third one hit her. Standing straight as she caught her breath, she clapped four times, concentrating the sound created from each action into attacks aimed for Abyss

The member 'Maxine Blackman' has done the following action : Attack!

#1 'Powers!' :

Abyss laughed as he blocked one power attack, and the remaining three sailed past, leaving him unharmed.
"You'll have to do better than that."
He shot out a thick rope of darkness, designed to cloud her vision.
He then shot out his fists in a double punch.

The member 'Eupa!' has done the following action : Attack!

#1 'Powers!' :

The first attack hit The Performer hard and sharp, blinding her almost instantly, but she could sense the two physical attacks coming her way and immediately she dropped and rolled, avoiding both of them.

Pausing where she landed, The Performer listened carefully in an attempt to try and sense where her opponent was. This might even be easier with her (hopefully) temporary blindness, as she wouldn't be concentrating on what she couldn't see at the same time as trying to hear.

Abyss recoiled as the powers hit him, making him lose control of the blindfold, which faded and dissapated.
However, he managed to block the next power attack and the third missed completely.
Grinning, he lashed out sending tendrils of dark at his opponant, designed to blind and confuse.
He slipped down to a crouch, and lashed out with his left foot.

The member 'Eupa!' has done the following action : Attack!

#1 'Powers!' :

#2 'Kick!' :

Crying out harshly in order to create a sound barrier around her, The Performer was able to block both Abyss' darkness attacks, and she found with relief that her sight was back. The elation was short-lived, however, as she felt a foot connect with her stomach and she reeled back, only to flip back to face Abyss, aiming a double punch and a kick at him.

The member 'Maxine Blackman' has done the following action : Attack!

#1 'Punch!' :

Abyss laughed as he blocked the first punch, overconfidence causing the second to hit him on the jaw.
He swore inwardly, swerving just in time to block the kick aimed at him.
Overconfidence had always been a problem...
He jumped backwards, sending a cloud of darkness all around, and shooting two blindfolds of dark at the Performer's eyes.
Then he slid forwards on his back and lashed out with a fist.

The member 'Eupa!' has done the following action : Attack!

#1 'Powers!' :

#2 'Punch!' :

The darkness hit again, and a fist connected with her chin, sending The Performer sprawling backwards onto the hard ground of the arena. She couldn't move; she was too badly hurt.

"I will get you back for what you've done eventually." She warned Abyss "you can be sure of that"

Just not right now Maxine added to herself with a grimace.

"Good luck with that." Abyss smirked as he turned on his heel and left...leaving a darkness in his wake.
