Name/Alterego: Vala Llewellyn
Age: 55
Extra: Married to Dimitri Llewellyn, a defence attorney
Work Place: Local Judge... so Court Room...
Personality: Pleasant with a sweet and good natured disposition, she enjoys the simple things in life and peace and quiet. Although friendly, she is not overly social and finds meeting new people rather awkward. This being said, she spends more time by herself than with others, but occasionally will seek out social interaction due to feeling lonely. She paints as a hobby and enjoys frequent walks with her husband every morning and sometimes at night, although not after the sun sets. She has two Yorkies named Cookie and Cream and a Labrador named Iliad who is a service dog... as well as a lizard named Jelly.
Supername: Binary
Powers: - Technopath: Ability to manipulate technology. Manifested as a special form of electrical/telekinetic manipulation, a special form of "morphing" which allows physical interaction with machines, and even a psychic ability that allows for mental interface with computer data.
- Inorganic Shapeshifting: Ability to transform completely into an inorganic substance while retaining organic properties.
- Psychometry: Ability to relate details about the past or future condition of an object or location, by being in close contact with it.
Weaknesses: - Cannot move physically while in an inorganic form; unless that object is linked to her technopathic abilities, such as it has either electrical or mechanical parts.
- Her psychometry usually manifests itself randomly and without warning or true reason, often forcing her to see or feel details about something that she has no desire to see/feel or at times in which it is distracting or plain annoying.
- She is epileptic and therefore goes nowhere without her specially trained seizure response dog... except when in uniform as Binary during which she uses a specially designed device to alert her of an impending seizure and then shifts into an inorganic shape.
Superhero or Supervillain: Superhero
Archrival: N/A
Appearance: Black hair in soft ringlets frame a pale face with large brown eyes, a small nose and thin mouth. Her hair just passes her slight shoulders and usually is half pinned back, so that it stays out of her face. She is a small woman, roughly four feet nine inches tall and weighing about 90 pounds. She usually wears pleated skirts that reach mid-calf and lighter blouses; when not in her costume or in her Court attire. Although probably not beautiful, Vala does possess inner beauty and is passable as a pretty woman.
Her superhero costume is light yellow with black designs like lightning bolts going down both legs and reaching up to her arms. She wears a half-mask that covers the top of her head and has a visor over her eyes, due to them being a rather prominent feature in her face. Although she does have a good grip on modesty, her uniform is tight to allow for less restriction and ease of movement. Her costume also matches that of her husband's, although his is black with yellow lightning.
History/Backstory (How you get your powers in story from):Vala was left on the steps of the Elze Orphanage in Germany as an infant. She had a letter pinned to the side of her bassinet which gave her date of birth, her name and a brief apology from her mother, which said, 'I cannot give you what you need...'
Despite the horror stories that issue from many orphanages, Vala enjoyed her childhood to such a degree that she never wanted to be adopted.
Around the age of 9, she began to exhibit odd abilities, accidentally turning a light off and on by touching it, fixing a calculator by asking it to repair itself and things such as that. A popular child, befriended by most of the children her age in the orphanage, Vala kept her gift to herself and continued to grow until at age 12 she was adopted by the Frendricks Family and taken to America.
Influenced greatly by Maria Frendricks' occupation as a lawyer and Joshua Frendricks' as a Federal Judge, Vala began to desire to go into law and after she graduated second in her class, she was accepted into Harvard to begin her studies. Within five years she found herself well placed as a defence lawyer in New York, slowly working her way up the ladder until at 29, she became a small claims Judge.
During those years she met Dimitri Llewellyn, a fellow superhero and defence attorney. They dated for a year and then tied the knot at a small chapel in Kansas.
Although her epilepsy often seemed to bar her from full potential, Vala continued to serve in New York until she had an car accident. The nearly fatal stumble caused the couple to think over their life and they decided a change was needed. Packing up their bags and receiving transfers, they moved to Superville.
