The Training Room

Sam sighed. "Sadly, I now hope they never get together...I think that's strange though..." She shook her head. "Can you just...not tell us this or something?"

Mal grinned. "Nope. It's my job discription to annoy you. Dad said so."

"This isn't annoying...this is shocking, scaring, and possibly driving insane...Unsure on what to call it...See? that's how bad this is. I can't think of a name for it, and I'm a teacher. I spend all day with teachers, and I have to be sure of the phrasing, because it's very important in science. be accurate and all...and now I'm babbling...I think this is very shocking, so I'm babbling..." She said quickly, trying to process this fully. at least they hadn't said kids. that would have pushed her over the edge.

Kiara walked into the trianing room and turned to face the mother daughter team, " lets see where this goes," she said as she formed a fire ball in her hand.

Mari and Mal formed barriers and picked up rocks. "Let's fight," Mari said.

Sam looked at Mari and Mal, then sighed. "Got it. Let's go."

She looked around, then found a bucket of water that had been left there. Throwing it at them, she froze it to become ice wherever it landed.

A barrier came up between them and the ice. Mari nodded at her daughter, who had blocked it. "Good thinking."

The ice froze on the barrier, a shell locking them out of sight through the dirty ice.

Mari used her extensive martial arts training to kick through the ice, hands in a fist. "Hand to hand, Sam? Mal."

"On it, Mom." And Mal faced Kiara, in a stance similar to her mother's. In that instance most would be shocked to see them looking so similar.

Max almost 'squeed' at the sight of mother and daughter fighting so closely together, almost crushing the remaining brownie in her hand. She wasn't being a particularly good referee - more like an overexcited spectator. Foul play for Max would simply add a little spice to the mix.

"You're doing great! Keep it up!" she yelled to all four fighters.

Mari grinned over at her friend and has a feeling foul play would okay.

Sam sighed. "Ok...I think this is somehow going to be unfair again." She said, preparing for whatever was thrown her way.

Mari grinned. "Ya think?"

Sam shrugged. "What can I say? I'm smart." She waited for them to move, ready to do whatever she could to black any attack.

She felt her temper start up, and so she noticed that she was raising the temperature of the air around her, so she started it at only the others. She kept the temp slowly raising, but didn't think about it, so it was an easy thing, that she hardly noticed.

((Different Timeline))

Lisa entered the Training Room with low hopes.

She closed her eyes, took a deep breath and attempted to form a plasmoid.

Nothing.

She cursed.

A mental ball attempted to collide with her, she managed to dodge it.

"Stupid, stupid, stupid!" She cried out.

Another mental ball tried to hit her but she rolled away.

"Dammit!" She screamed.

Suddenly there was an explosion.

Lisa blinked. No... She balled a fist and attempted to form a plasmoid.

It worked. She smiled.

She threw several plasmoids at the incoming mental balls. They exploded in thin air.

She laughed. Lady Lustre was back!

((Where's she been? Have I not been following the whole city properly again?))

"Hey Lisa" Max called, entering the training room in black sweats bandaged round her ankles and a strappy red bellytop. "Good to know someone else uses this place for things other than winning brownies" she grinned

((oh she's been here, it's just her power's not been working. Its okay though they're working good now."

"Hey Max," Lisa greeted. "I haven't seen you in a while."

((Ahhh, I see I see C: ))

"Yeah, I've been busy with the theatre - we have a new production coming up soon - just as the heating breaks and that 'problem' from the sewers starts breaking the walls apart" she grimaced. "I thought it might be a good idea to get back into shape after our down period, what with all these new villains swarming all over the place. How have you been?"

"Yeah, Flustre's pipes haven't properly been working for weeks now." Lisa said. "I've been good, great actually."

"Must be the same problem - I'm trying to get someone in to fix it as soon as possible. But that's good! And how're James and the kids?" she asked, guessing at the source of Lisa's happiness.

Throughout this time, she'd been blasting the mental balls. "Hang on a sec..."

"Jelly Donuts!" Immediately everything in the room stopped.

"Yeah must be, I heard it was all around Avenger Avenue." Lisa said.

"James and I are engaged." Lisa said practically beaming.

Max nearly bowled Lisa over in her excitement, giving her a huge hug. "Congratulations!" she squealed excitedly, "does everyone else know yet? Have you set a date? Did he get down on one knee?"

"Er... My mother, Mari and Blake know, no date yet and no he didn't not exactly," Lisa said trying to answer Max's questions without toppling over.

"Ah, sorry, sorry, I'll just let you regain your balance shall I?" She said, taking a step back. "But I'm so happy for you" she smiled widely again. "Two engagements and a pregnancy already. Wonder when Jamie and Lynda will be appearing" she added with a knowing smirk

"Oh man, you sound like Mari and my mother." Lisa laughed. "According to Mal, Jamie and Lyn are four months younger than her... so I'm all clear till four months."
